Lunera Bakery was officially born in the winter of 2019, but has been slowly happening in my kitchen at home for as long as I’ve needed to do something with my hands to clear my mind.

Us late-night bakers are a different breed. We do this because we love to work with our hands, because process makes our hearts happy, and because feeding our loved ones is worth staying up for.

Here’s to the baking mavericks who think about pastry while they balance budget sheets at work. The ones who plot ways to improve the gluten structure on their next bread bake. Those who know recipes can be either seance or meditation if you just add a little moonlight.
